REDMOND GRAPPLING ACADEMY
Adult No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu
Our Adult No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu program is offered year-round and is open to adults of all experience levels.
We do not separate beginners and advanced students into different classes. Everyone trains together in one structured program, allowing newer students to learn alongside experienced grapplers while progressing at an appropriate pace.
Classes focus on practical grappling skills, including takedowns, positional control, escapes, submissions, transitions, and live training. Instruction is designed to help students develop strong fundamentals while continuing to build more advanced technical skills over time.
No previous Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, or martial arts experience is required.

One Class for All Experience Levels
Beginners and experienced students train in the same class.
New students are introduced to the fundamentals and taught how to train safely before increasing the intensity of their live rounds. More experienced students continue developing advanced techniques, timing, strategy, and overall grappling ability.
Students are partnered as appropriately as possible based on size, experience, and ability.
Who Can Join?
The program is open to adult beginners, recreational students, former wrestlers, experienced Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, and competitors.
Competition opportunities may be available for interested students, but competing is not required. Students are welcome to train for fitness, self-defense, personal development, recreation, or competition.
What to Wear
Students should wear a clean rash guard or fitted athletic shirt with MMA shorts or pocketless athletic shorts.
Traditional Jiu-Jitsu uniforms, or gis, are not required. Jewelry, clothing with zippers, and shorts with exposed pockets are not permitted on the mat.
